Further collision at Hedgerley crossroads reinforces the need for road safety work

Following reports of another collision, I am asking that the incident is included in the ongoing review of the crossroads and road markings.

I was very sorry to see reports of another collision at the Hedgerley crossroads. I am relieved that initial accounts suggest the people involved were safe, although the official details will need to be confirmed.

Following our recent road safety meeting at One Pin, several measures have been secured or progressed, including hedge cutting, refinement of vehicle-activated signs and arrangements for local Speedwatch volunteers.

There is still more to do. I am seeking to ensure this latest reported collision is considered as part of the ongoing road safety work, alongside residents' concerns about road markings.

If you have first-hand information about road safety at the junction, please get in touch. Your observations are useful when we work with Highways and Thames Valley Police.
