I have formally requested that planning application PL/26/07779/FA, concerning Farnham Park Playing Fields and South Buckinghamshire Golf Course, be referred for consideration by elected councillors, with consideration of the Strategic Sites Committee route.
My fellow ward councillors, Cllrs Thomas Hogg and Dev Dhillon, have also sought committee scrutiny.
This is a substantial proposal on an important local site. Residents have raised questions about the Green Belt, sport and recreation, access, landscape and ecology. Those questions deserve a transparent planning process.
Requesting committee scrutiny is not the same as opposing the application. As a member of the planning committees, I remain open-minded and will consider all the relevant evidence, representations and officer advice before reaching any decision.
